Phobias are far more intense than fears. Fears tend to form over a period of time whereas a phobia tends to form extremely quickly. If you have a phobia I suspect you try to organise your life in a way to avoid the
thing that's appears to cause an overwhelming sense of anxiety.
The NHS website lists the following symptoms which may be experienced by those with a phobia.
Unsteadiness, dizziness and light-headedness,
nausea,
sweating,
increased heart rate or palpitations,
shortness of breath,
trembling or shaking and
an upset stomach.
Over the years I have helped many people rid themselves of fears and phobias. Basic phobia's such as those of an object or animal are often eliminated in just one session. Those phobia's that are more complex such as agoraphobia or social phobia generally take a little longer.
When helping with phobia's I use a combination of techniques such as Havening, Hypnosis, NLP and TFT.
